Michael Moore -
Capitalism: A Love Story

... This satirical documentary film revolves around the financial crisis of 2007-2010, and in particular, the recovery stimulus which was brought in by the Bush & Obama administrations. Topics covered include Wall Street's 'casino mentality', for-profit prisons, Goldman Sachs' influence in Washington, DC, the poverty-level wages of many workers, the large wave of home foreclosures, and the consequences of 'runaway greed'.

This film is really worth watching expecially after Occupied Wall Street!

A Bit About Me

Hi,
My name is Josephine Catalano MacPherson.  I am a high school math teacher who has been teaching for about thirty years.  I enjoy working with young minds and sharing my math expertise.  Math is everywhere around us and you would be hard-pressed to spend ten seconds without thinking or looking at a number concept.  A year ago, on June 3rd, 2010, I graduated from my Masters of Education degree from the University of Toronto.  This journey allowed me to do research on gender differences in mathematics education.  My final paper, "Gender Equity in Mathematics Education" can be found in the Quest Journal, 2009 on the York Region District School Board website.
Travel and art are my pleasures.  In August 2010, I visited Milan, Lake Como, Verona, Venice, Florence and Rome, Italy.  In August 2011, I visited Paris, France for 9 days.  I will attach a three part visual description of my latest trip.
